This kind of tournament is usually played as a scramble (better ball) event. This format has four (or five) players in a group tee off on each hole, the team as a group decides on the best drive, then all players hit from this position. This continues until the “team ball” is holed. Extra fun formats for this type tournament include: Longest Drive holes (usually 2 divisions), Closest to the Pin holes (usually multiple divisions), Straightest Drive hole (one division). This event typically takes a total of 8 hours start to finish: registration, pre-shotgun announcements, 5-hour round, post-round barbeque/awards.

This event type is designed as a casual “fun” golf outing for corporate team-building, as a social beginner/intermediate golfer activity, or as a less expensive & less time consuming activity for charitable organizations. Extra fun formats for this type tournament include: Closest to the Pin competitions on every hole, Straightest Drive hole (one division), perhaps alternative golf club usage (tennis racket, hockey sticks) This event typically takes a total of only 4 hours start to finish: registration, pre shotgun announcements, 2- hour round, post-round barbeque/awards.

- The exact number of players must be finalized and all outing fees (less the tournament deposit) are DUE IN FULL in the form of a check or credit card pre-authorization 10-days prior to your event. A credit book account will be established in your tournament’s name, and your prize funds will be made available to your event coordinator for any advance merchandise or gift card purchases.
- In accordance with Washington state law, NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES are permitted at Glen Acres Golf and Country Club. All food & beverages MUST be purchased from the restaurant or beverage cart. Please contact the Food & Beverage manager to make the necessary arrangements.
- Proper golf attire is required. Please refer to Glen Acres regulations for permitted dress code.
